Accessibility Statement

At Združenie VOTUM we strive to make this website accessible and usable for the widest possible range of people — including people with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive impairments. We see accessibility as a long-term commitment, not a one-time fix.

Accessibility standards

The website is designed in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) recommendations at level AA, and we aim to implement some elements at level AAA where technically and content-wise possible.

Accessibility features used

  • Semantic HTML structure (proper use of headings, lists, buttons, and forms).
  • Full keyboard control support (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Escape).
  • Visible focus states for interactive elements.
  • Sufficient color contrast for text and controls.
  • Responsive design and the ability to enlarge text without losing functionality.
  • Alternative text for images where relevant.
  • Interactive elements (e.g. modal windows or dialogs) are operable without a mouse.
  • Minimization of distracting elements with an emphasis on a simple, clear interface.

Privacy and external content

The website does not use cookies to track users. External content (e.g. videos or maps) is loaded only after user interaction, to avoid unexpected behavior or reduced accessibility.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not yet meet all the requirements of the WCAG 2.1 standard. We are currently aware of the following:

  • Some images in the gallery may not have a complete alternative description.
  • Downloadable documents may not be fully accessible.
